About Todd

Todd Allen Branham, 37, of Annapolis, Maryland, took his own life in his apartment in Annapolis on October 4, 2023.

He was born in Charleston, W.Va., to Jeffrey and Dianna Branham. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Charleston, W.Va. He was a graduate of Nitro High School, class of 2004. He achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Master’s degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University in 2010. Todd was the Lead Project Manager and Eastern Shore Operations Officer for Eastcomm, LTD in Maryland. He was the franchise owner of Pita Pit in Charleston, W.Va.

Todd was an avid WVU fan and avid golfer. He is a past member and club champion of Edgewood Country Club in Charleston. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and anything outdoors, especially with his best friends. He had an insatiable appreciation for music. Todd also read a lot and had a desire to always learn. He mentored many people on the importance of work ethic and education. He even started his nieces’ and nephew’s college fund.

Todd will always be remembered for his infectious smile, humor, and compassion. He had a heart for helping others, and his family and friends hope to always hear stories about how he made a positive impact for so many during their times of need and how they have changed because of his positive encouragement. Todd will be missed every day.

Todd is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Harold H. and Imogene S. Carrico; paternal grandparents Robert L. and Geraldine J. Branham and his beloved dog, Coal.

He is survived by his parents, his sister Tara, brother-in-law Terry Miller, his “3 nuggets” nephew Jackson, nieces Haylea and Chloe Miller. Aunt and Uncle Dennis and Vicki Young of Marmet, W.Va. Cousins Travis Young, Denise Briggs and Jennifer Ferrell. Godparents Paul and Patty Lavender (Paige). Special friend Alicia Minchello, and his dog Adele. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

At Todd’s request, we need to bring awareness to mental health and society issues. Todd wrote, “Take care of everyone. I just want y’all to know I love you. I am sorry. With regret but unlimited love and respect.”
